गुलज़ार - A poetic genius

This blog post is very special to me. Gulzar, a legend of Hindi Shayari and Poetry, rules our hearts. There is an immense warmth in his creations. The question is why we love him and why he is so differently amazing.  

 To find the answer, we need to read through an interview he gave to the Mint. When he was asked if he writes every day, he said," Yes. Every day I’m in my study. I write. I read. I research. You have to. लफ्ज़ ढूंढने के लिए तोह रोज़ करना पड़ता है (one has to work hard in order to find the right words)". We can see here, he is highly passionate about each and every 'lafz' in his creations. And that is the reason we feel every word as it is coming from our own heart. 

 We all are familiar with his writings on life, love, and motivation. But a very few people know that " जंगल जंगल बात चली है पता चला, चड्डी पहन के फूल खिला है फूल खिला है" song is written by him only. Yes, he is everyone's poet, shayar and lyricist. He always thinks about the reader while writing his creations. And we wonder why we feel so attached to his every 'lafz'. 

 I have intentionally kept this post short, otherwise, there is no limit when we talk about such a loving legend. I read this interview (Mint Interview of Gulzar) and thought it must be shared. By now, you must be willing to read Gulzar. Hence, I am leaving you with some of my all-time favorites.
